And this is how it all began … When my sweet, beloved orange Pomeranian Pepe passed away, at 5 years old, my heart was shattered. His sudden passing, without warning, made it doubly hard for me.
He was my soul mate, my look in the eyes and connected forever bonded dog. The grief that strikes us upon losing a pet is unique in it’s depth. For many of us, the loss will be one of the most sorrowful experiences of our lives. The tears I shed… well there have been a lot, I still do even as I am writing this. But you will eventually have laughter through the tears.
Death does change the living… I strongly believe one of the best things you can do with all the lessons you’ve learned from your time in grief is to help another through their journey, which is why I decided to create meaningful jewelry and mementos. Jewelry and keepsakes with meaning, heart and soul … So, MEMINISSES® was born. Hi! I’m DiGascon, I’m a fashion designer from FIT, and I’m the brand owner.

The Meaning Behind Our Logo Our logos, in case you’re curious, also have meaning… The word ‘MEMINISSES” means “I hold you in memory”.
<- Our website logo design kind of plays into the idea of getting lost in visual storytelling. It has its meaning associated with the Latin origin of its name, MEMINISSES, and it depicts a winged heart (winged hearts are a unique and beautiful way to remember a lost loved one). It is really organic in terms of the stylized way things are drawn with grainy textures and pixelated art, which juxtaposes the flatness of the vector art from the logo we use in our marketing campaigns (below).
